MEMBERS of a community growing scheme reaped the fruits of their labour when they harvested produce from their shared gardens.
Despite not having the best growing conditions, members of FlintShare successfully grew tomatoes, cabbages, cucumbers, potatoes, winter squash, apples, chilli peppers, bell peppers and more in their community gardens across the county.
The group has more than 40 members and soon hopes to launch the community supported agriculture side of the project which will aim to provide good quality, seasonal, organic food to local people who wish to join the scheme.
